He received design training in Chicago, began his professional career in New Orleans, and has practiced for the last 20 years in Los Angeles. He currently heads his 17-member namesake design team in project assignments that literally have spanned the globe. Schmitt brings a uniquely artistic eye to his design work, having also been trained as a fine artist.
